• Chart and reading data — saved kundalis, divisional charts, dasha timelines, predictions, remedies, compatibility comparisons, tarot readings, and AI astrologer chat messages tied to your account.
• App preferences — language selection, notification settings, and primary chart selection.
• Usage data — feature usage, session activity, and crash or performance data collected through Firebase Analytics to improve the app.
• Device information — device type, operating system, and app version needed to deliver and secure our services.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

• Create and manage your account and authenticate you securely.
• Generate personalized Vedic astrology charts, daily Cosmic Today guidance, predictions, remedies, and compatibility readings.
• Provide AI astrologer responses grounded in your birth chart data.
• Sync your charts and settings across devices when you are signed in.
• Improve app performance, fix bugs, and develop new features.
• Respond to your support requests and communicate important service updates.
• Comply with legal obligations and protect against fraud or misuse.

4. Third-Party Services

We use trusted third-party services to operate AstroBodha. These providers process data only as needed to deliver their services:

• Google Firebase — authentication, cloud storage (Firestore), and analytics.
• Google Sign-In — optional sign-in using your Google account.
• Cloud hosting and AI services — our backend processes chart calculations and AI-generated insights; chart-related data may be sent to these services to generate readings.
• Vercel Analytics — anonymous website usage statistics on astrobodha.com (this website only).

5. Data Storage and Security

Your account-linked chart data is stored securely in Google Cloud Firestore and locally on your device (encrypted device storage). We use industry-standard security measures including HTTPS encryption in transit and Firebase security rules to protect your data.

While we take reasonable steps to safeguard your information, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. You use AstroBodha at your own risk regarding data security.

6. Data Retention

We retain your account and chart data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide our services. If you request account deletion, we will delete or anonymize your personal data within a reasonable timeframe, except where retention is required by law.

Locally stored data on your device remains until you uninstall the app or clear app data.

7. Your Rights and Choices

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you.
• Correct inaccurate birth details or account information within the app.
• Delete your account and associated cloud data — submit a request at astrobodha.com/delete-account or email us.
• Export your chart data by requesting a copy via email.
• Opt out of non-essential analytics where applicable.
• Withdraw consent by deleting your account and ceasing use of the app.

AstroBodha is operated from India. If you access our services from outside India, your information may be transferred to and processed in India or other countries where our service providers operate. By using AstroBodha, you consent to this transfer.
